Set in green Bahribaba Park just up from Konak, this museum holds a strong collection of sculpture, bronzes, coins, pottery and mosaics from Smyrna, Ephesus and across the region, spanning prehistory to Byzantium. Entry is very cheap and the adjoining Ethnography Museum and shady park make it an easy, low-cost cultural afternoon. A great rainy-day or hot-afternoon option.
