Wander Jinli Ancient Street for Lanterns and Snacks

Jinli is a restored Qing-dynasty-style pedestrian lane beside the Wuhou Shrine, lined with grey-tiled wooden shops, teahouses and a small bar canal. It is free to enter and comes alive after dark when more than a thousand red lanterns switch on. The real draw is the wall of cheap Sichuan street snacks, from 'three cannons' rice balls to spicy beef and skewers, most just a couple of dollars each.
